So, what actually is hemp?
Well, it’s just a matter of definition. Yes. Well, hemp, also called industrial hemp, is a plant of the family Cannabaceae cultivated for its fiber or its edible seeds. Hemp is sometimes confused with the cannabis plants that serve as sources of the drug marijuana. True, hemp and cannabis are derived from plants from the same family but hemp contains less than 0.3% tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) (that’s the stuff that gets you high). Go beyond 0.3% THC and you’ve got cannabis. You can consider hemp and cannabis cousins.
Then what is CBD?
CBD (Cannabidiol) is a compound that is found high concentrations in the Cannabis Sativa L. Plant. There are over 113 different types of phytocannabidoids. CBD is associated with the medicinal and healing properties of the plant. Unlike THC, which is the psychoactive component, CBD (and the other cannabinoids) doesn’t get you high. CBD is known to reduce anxiety, stress, and inflammation.
Can you get high from CBD?
No. CBD is non psychoactive and our tinctures are broad spectrum. That means that we enhanced our plant extraction process with another filtration that totally eliminates the THC component of the plant. The THC is the cannabinoid that will get you high.
Our full-spectrum roll-on contains less that .3% THC, which makes our products legal in all 50 states.
What makes our hemp-derived products different?
There are many sellers out there who sell hemp-derived products in vast price ranges. However, since the lack of regulation, there’s no real industry standard. We put a great emphasis on applying the most stringent quality control means and use tested and certified raw materials to ensure the highest quality. We constantly perform third party lab tests to ensure highest quality consistently (will gladly provide reports) and, with our broad-spectrum oils that are extracted from the whole plant, you get the full benefits of the plant – just like nature planned. All that, without the potential "high" associated with THC. That's safe anytime.
Why broad-spectrum and not just CBD (isolate)?
Broad spectrum extract, although high in CBD, also contains other beneficial cannabinoids such as CBC, CBN, CBG as well as terpenes and other phytonutrients. All these cannabinoids complete and enhance the action of the others to create the full effect of the plant’s power and to maximize its anti-inflammatory qualities.
