Using CBD for Foot Pain
Everyone experiences the occasional stubbed toe or aching feet, but foot pain that persists can make it hard to function normally. When you’re dealing with chronic, recurring pain in your feet, finding effective relief that doesn’t have worrisome side effects can be a challenge. Fortunately, many pain sufferers have found success with cannabidiol (CBD).
What Is CBD Hemp Extract?
CBD oil is a natural product made from hemp, a low-THC variety of Cannabis sativa. The entire hemp plant is processed and filtered, resulting in a potent liquid extract full of beneficial cannabinoids, flavonoids, and other compounds. This extract can then be refined into the desired formula and combined with a carrier oil.
According to U.S. law, all hemp products must contain less than 0.3% THC. In such small amounts, it can’t cause the kinds of psychoactive effects that other cannabis varieties do. All Reclaim Labs CBD products are tested by a third-party laboratory to ensure they’re legal and meet our high-quality standards for purity and potency.
The Potential Benefits of CBD Hemp Oil for Foot Pain
CBD products have become more widespread in recent years, and research into the benefits of hemp extract has continued to move forward. Anecdotally, thousands of CBD users worldwide have reported a variety of positive effects.
Some of the beneficial effects you may experience include:
- Reduced inflammation. Not only do users report reduced inflammatory symptoms when using CBD, but research has also shown promising results. In one study, for example, researchers found that administering CBD to rats with osteoarthritis helped to reduce early inflammation, preventing pain and nerve damage.¹
- Local and general pain relief. When applied topically to the area of the pain, hemp oil can absorb into the skin and provide numbing relief. When taken daily as a supplement, you might find it can reduce pain and discomfort throughout your body.
- An overall feeling of full-body relaxation. Although CBD products can’t produce the high feeling of THC, people typically describe a relaxed, comfortable feeling throughout their body. This can be great for relaxing after a tense day at work.
- A sense of calm and peace. Along with the physical relaxation, CBD users also commonly describe relief from stress and anxiety symptoms. Again, this is perfect for unwinding and decompressing at the end of the day.
The Food and Drug Administration has not currently reviewed CBD oil as a medical treatment, and Reclaim Labs products aren’t intended to treat, prevent or cure any illness or disease. Everyone’s body is unique, so we can’t predict exactly what benefits you’ll experience. What we can say with full confidence, however, is that CBD users continue to happily report success with their personal symptom management.
Our Founder’s Personal Journey with Chronic Pain and CBD
Ron Lev, the founder of Reclaim Labs, has a lifelong history of pain management. Diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis as a teenager, Ron spent decades trying to tackle pain and inflammation with the usual therapies and medications. The harsh steroids he was prescribed posed serious risks of addiction and damage with long-term use, and they couldn’t even give him the relief he wanted.
Fed up with feeling like he had no other options, Ron began to look for natural alternatives to medication with fewer risks. As he learned more about the body’s endocannabinoid system, he began to experiment with making his own hemp extract. Finally, after much trial and error, Ron developed a formula that forever changed his life.
After 23 years of steroids and their side effects, Ron’s CBD oil was finally providing the relief he’d always wanted. Eventually, he was able to taper off of steroids completely. Ron realized he’d created something that could truly help others, and Reclaim Labs was born.
Frequently Asked Questions About CBD Foot Pain Relief
If you’re still on the fence about using CBD for heel pain and other foot discomfort, our answers to frequently asked questions might help clear things up. For more information, feel free to contact us.
Is CBD Hemp Extract Oil Legal?
Yes! By law, a product can only be classified as legal hemp if it contains less than 0.3% THC. All of our products fall within this standard, and are completely legal for sale throughout the United States. Occasionally, state or local governments place some restrictions on how CBD can be used. Make sure you know and follow any such laws in your area.
Can You Explain How to Take CBD Oil for Foot Pain?
There are all kinds of CBD products out there, but most fall into one of two categories: things you can eat and things you can apply to your skin. At Reclaim Labs, we’ve developed one of each type so you can choose the best delivery method for you.
To use our CBD oil tincture, simply place a few drops (as directed) beneath your tongue, wait for 60 seconds and swallow the rest. Recommended use - 1ml twice a day. To use our topical CBD oil, simply roll a thin layer onto the area of pain and gently rub it into the skin. This can be applied a few times a day, if needed.
What’s the Difference Between Broad-Spectrum and Full-Spectrum CBD Hemp Extract Oil?
A full-spectrum CBD oil is a formula that contains some small amount of every naturally occurring compound in the hemp plant (including THC, within legal limits). A broad-spectrum formula, on the other hand, contains that same wide range of compounds like the full-spectrum formula, but has zero THC.
In the body, the extracted compounds create what’s called an “entourage effect,” interacting with each other to create unique benefits, such as a strong anti-inflammatory quality. A broad-spectrum hemp extract oil produces exactly this effect.
Do I Need to Worry About Drug Testing While Using CBD Oil?
Our broad spectrum tincture is completely THC-free, so nothing THC-related will show in a drug test. Regarding the full-spectrum roll-on, because legal hemp extract products contain only trace amounts of THC, it should not show up on any form of drug test. All of our products are lab tested to make sure THC levels are within legal limits. If you want to see the data for yourself, we’re also happy to provide you with the COA (certificates of analysis) for our products.
If you are still worried about drug testing or have other reasons why you’d rather not ingest any THC, simply go for our completely THC-free hemp oil formula!
Is CBD Cream Good for Foot Pain?
Yes, topicals like CBD cream (a.k.a. salve or balm) can provide localized pain relief and other full-body benefits. Applied in a thin layer, the active ingredients are absorbed through the skin to provide localized pain relief and other benefits.
Different CBD products may work better for you than others. For fast foot pain relief, we recommend our topical hemp-infused extract roll-on. It’s leveraging Nano-CBD technology, which means that CBD (and other cannabinoids) molecules are broken into a fraction of their original size. This means that the plant’s active substances penetrate the skin and work on the affected area much more efficiently than standard CBD oil.
Is CBD Good for Foot Pain Caused by Other Issues?
Absolutely. The ingredients in hemp extract interact with the endocannabinoid system, which is connected to numerous other bodily systems. In addition to easing pain in the area of application, CBD may help ease other symptoms. If your foot pain is caused by plantar fasciitis, for example, applying CBD oil on the bottom of your feet can help “freeze” the pain and reduce overall inflammation.
Again, it’s important to note that our products are not intended to cure, prevent or treat any underlying chronic conditions or injuries. They are, however, something you can add to your daily regimen to help manage your symptoms in a natural, prescription-free way.
